ABOUT FUMI: Fumi Abe is a Japanese-American stand-up comedian/writer based in Los Angeles who was named Vulture’s Comedians You Should and Will Know in 2023 and was part of the 2023 Just For Laughs New Faces. He has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Dropout’s Smarty Pants, was a Staff Writer for The Late Late Show with James Corden, and wrote for NPR’s “Wait Wait...Don't Tell Me!”, the ESPYs, and Wieden+Kennedy’s “Lost in McDonaldland” YouTube series. Most recently, he was a Story Editor on Seth MacFarlane’s animated TV series “Ted”. ABOUT AMY: Amy Silverberg is a writer and comedian based in Los Angeles. Her standup comedy has appeared on Comedy Central, Hulu, Amazon Prime, NPR, Netflix is a Joke, Don’t Tell and elsewhere. She was selected as a "New Face" at the prestigious Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, the largest festival of its kind. Her writing has appeared in Best American Short Stories, The Paris Review, Granta, The New Yorker, The New York Times, The LA Times, and many other publications. Her debut novel First Time, Long Time (Grand Central Publishing / Hachette) was heralded as a must-read by Oprah Daily, Vulture, W Magazine, Bomb Magazine, The Los Angeles Review of Books, Book Riot, and elsewhere. Roxane Gay called it "a brilliant novel about becoming more the person you're meant to be." She holds a PhD in Literature & Creative Writing from USC, where she currently adjuncts.
